DeDe Faller is a Washington, DC photographer from Chicago.
After graduating from the George Washington University Elliot School of International Affairs in 1982, she began studying large format photography at Northern Virginia Community College.

Most images are large format black and white landscapes of the Washington, DC area dating back to the early 1980’s. Other work includes pictures of indigenous people and the occupying army taken during several trips to Guatemala during that country’s civil

DeDe Faller prints her own black and white images by hand in a darkroom. Other images are in color produced (also by hand) from transparencies, as well as alternative process, palladium contact prints.

Many images have been reproduced for magazines and newspapers, and exhibited here and abroad. Several of DeDe Faller’s pictures were recently seen in a pilot of a TV series called “The Service”.
